Supervisory Board Discussed Report on Petrol Group's and Petrol d.d., Ljubljana's Results for the First Nine Months of 2017
Ljubljana, 16th November 2017 - The Report on the Petrol Group’s and Petrol d.d., Ljubljana’s Results for the first nine months of 2017 was presented to the Supervisory Board of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana at its 6th meeting held today.
In the first nine months of 2017, the Petrol Group generated the adjusted gross profit of EUR 311.8 million, a 10 % increase on the same period of 2016. EBITDA totalled EUR 122.5 million, an 11 % increase compared to the same period of 2016. 63 % of the Petrol Group’s EBITDA derived from its sales of oil products. Sales of merchandise accounted for 20 % of its EBITDA, energy and environmental systems for 9 %, sales of liquefied petroleum gas for 5 %, and other energy sales and trading for 3 % of its EBITDA. The Petrol Group’s net profit amounted to EUR 60.3 million, up 5 % from the same period of 2016.
In the first nine months of 2017, the Petrol Group sold 2.5 million tonnes of oil products, which is 8 % more than in the first nine months of 2016. The Petrol Group sold 838.0 thousand MWh of natural gas, up 1 % from the same period of the previous year, and 113.4 thousand tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas, up 8 % from the same period of 2016. Revenues from sales of merchandise in the first nine months of 2017 amounted to EUR 398.8 million, up 6 % from the figure achieved in the same period of 2016. At the end of September 2017, the Petrol Group operated 492 service stations, of which 316 in Slovenia, 106 in Croatia, 37 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 11 in Serbia, 11 in Montenegro and 11 in Kosovo.
The Petrol Group will continue with its active sales policy, optimisation of all business processes and efficient risk management. The achieved results show that the Group is successful in pursuing its goals.
