Supervisory Board Discussed Report on Petrol Group's and Petrol d.d., Ljubljana's Results for the First Three Months of 2019

Ljubljana, 16th May 2019 - The Report on the Petrol Group’s and Petrol d.d., Ljubljana’s Results for the first three months of 2019 was presented to the Supervisory Board of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana at its 24th meeting held today.

In the first three months of 2019, the Petrol Group generated the adjusted gross profit of EUR 112.1 million; a 10% increase on the same period of 2018. EBITDA totalled EUR 46.3 million; a 23% increase compared to the same period of 2018. 37% of the Petrol Group’s EBITDA derived from its sales of oil products. Sales of merchandise and related services accounted for 16%, sales of energy and environmental solutions for 20%, sales of other energy products (natural gas and electricity) for 15%, sales of liquefied petroleum gas for 8%, and sales of electricity from renewable sources for 4% of the Group’s EBITDA. The Petrol Group’s net profit amounted to EUR 18.2 million, up 2% from the same period of 2018.

In the first three months of 2019, the Petrol Group sold 906.5 thousand tonnes of oil products, which is 24% more than in the first three months of 2018. The Petrol Group sold 44.2 thousand tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas, up 15% from the same period of 2018. In the first three months of 2019, the Petrol Group sold 6.3 TWh of electricity and 5.6 TWh of natural gas. Revenues from sales of merchandise in the first three months of 2019 amounted to EUR 130.8 million, up 9% from the figure achieved in the same period of 2018. At the end of March 2019, the Petrol Group operated 505 service stations, of which 319 in Slovenia, 107 in Croatia, 42 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 14 in Serbia, 12 in Montenegro and 11 in Kosovo.

At the Petrol Group, we are aware that modern, well-integrated information technology is indispensable for smoot operation and optimisation of business processes. In 2019, after 18 months of preparatory activities, a new business-information system “SAP” was launched. Linked to the introduction of SAP was the upgrading of a number of other related IT solutions. New websites were launched as well as the comprehensively upgraded “self-care” portal entitled “Moj portal” (web and mobile application), which provides the customers with a modern and user-friendly solution leading to a still better user experience.
