Ljubljana, 7th December, 2009 The Management Board of Petrol has introduced the first steps towards the rationalisation, decreasing of costs and optimisation of business operations. They have started all necessary procedures for the abolishment of two organisational units: Chairman's Office and Department for Strategic Development, and for the rationalisation of business operations of Petrol Trade Handelsges.m.b.h, Vienna, by which an annual amount of EUR 1.7m will be saved.

The Management Board of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana has thus began to realise its promises, given at the beginning of its term of office in September this year, to introduce as quickly as possible a slimmer organisational structure. In such a manner, the number of decision-making levels will be decreased and the speed of decision-taking increased. The Management Board has already started all necessary procedures to abolish two organisational units: Chairman's Office and Department for Strategic Development, and to rationalise business operations of Petrol Trade, Vienna. All tasks and responsibilities of the employees of the above-mentioned units will be, or have already partly been, transferred directly to the members of the board and the top management level. The members of the board have already acquired all responsibility for the preparation of a new strategy and realisation of the future strategic development of Petrol. Through the introduction of this first step, Petrol will save around EUR 1.7m annually. In the future, the Management Board of Petrol will continue adjusting the organisational and decision-making scheme with the aim of achieving the companys optimal and cost-efficient operations.
