Explanation regarding Petrol's plans in Montenegro
Ljubljana, 8th November, 2010 Today, the newspaper »Finance« announced news relating to Petrol's business plans in Montenegro. We wish to inform the interested public that pursuant to Petrol's expansion strategy, surveys of service stations and their business operations on several markets, among them Montenegro, are underway. The companys strategy envisages the purchase of certain service stations, provided that all necessary conditions have been previously fulfilled. In the case of purchase of service stations on any market, Petrol will inform all parties simultaneously, pursuant to the stock exchange rules and valid legislation.
Among other things, the authors of the newspaper article report that Petrol has allegedly applied to participate in the tender for the establishment of a joint company with the Montenegrin company Montenegro Bonus, for the purpose of which the companies allegedly signed a letter of intent in September last year for joint projects worth EUR 1.5 billion. Petrol hereby states that last year no letter of intent for any projects worth EUR 1.5 billion was signed with any company, and that the information in the above-mentioned article is false.The Management Board of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana
