Five-hundredth sales point for Petrol

Mengeš, 24 January 2019 – Petrol has opened its five-hundredth sales point, an important milestone on its determined path towards achieving its 2022 strategy. Mengeš now boasts a new Petrol sales point built in line with the newest and most advanced standards. It offers a wide range of various shop items and foods from the mini Fresh line as well as several services, such as lottery tickets, concert tickets and sports betting. Today, at the official opening of the Mengeš Kamniška sales point, Tomaž Berločnik, chairman of the Petrol Management Board, presented the strategic role that sales points play in Petrol business operations, and Bogo Ropotar, deputy mayor of the Municipality of Mengeš, proudly presented the importance of the new sales point for the municipality.

The Mengeš Kamniška sales point is located at Kamniška Cesta 60 in Mengeš, near the roundabout joining the bypasses between Domžale, Kamnik and Mengeš. A bypass from Brnik is planned for the future. The sales point features a 92 m² store section, offering the mini Fresh food line in addition to the standard store programme. The forecourt features three filling islands, offering AdBlue liquid and autogas (LPG) in addition to diesel fuels and 95/100-octane petrol. The sales point also features a state-of-the-art manual car wash for vans, a covered manual car wash and a vacuum cleaner. It also sells bottled gas. The sales point also features a bar with a terrace. At the Mengeš Kamniška sales point, eight employees and a student worker will ensure that customers’ needs are met.

Petrol sales points remain the most prominent aspect of the company, which is increasingly moving away from selling petroleum products towards integrated energy solutions. “In accordance with the company strategy, we are improving the quality of life of all our stakeholders, growing customer loyalty and providing sustainable solutions for energy for life. We are developing integrated and sustainable solutions in energy, retail, mobility and advanced services, together with high-quality partnerships and innovative approaches to ensure an excellent customer experience. Regardless of e-development, we will continue to invest in developing filling stations, which we estimate will continue to play an important role for quite some time,” added Berločnik.

Bogo Ropotar, deputy mayor of the Municipality of Mengeš, emphasised at the opening: “Construction of a new, modern sales point that started at the end of summer was completed just before the new year. I would like to congratulate and thank Petrol for completing the construction so quickly and ensuring minimal disruptions to the traffic flow. The new sales point provides new services, particularly to the residents of the Municipality of Mengeš. When the bypass in the Municipality of Mengeš is completed, the location is bound to become even more attractive, also to drivers using the motorways to eastern or north-western Slovenia.”
