Petrol receives the award for Most Secure and Safe Company

The 13th International Conference “Days of Corporate Security” is taking place today and tomorrow. This is a scientific and professional conference for addressing the problems of security risk management in today’s security environment. The Slovenian Grand Security Award 2021 was also presented at the conference today. Petrol was among this year’s winners of the award for Most Secure and Safe Company.

The Slovenian Grand Security Award is a prestigious award in the field of security in Slovenia presented to selected institutions and individuals for their innovative contribution to the development and promotion of security. It is given out by the Institute for Corporate Security Studies, ICS-Ljubljana, in cooperation with the Slovenian Corporate Security Association.

The Slovenian Grand Security Award is presented in various categories, one of which is Most Secure and Safe Company. This year, Petrol won the title. “The award is undoubtedly a recognition that, in terms of organisation, we have properly embedded and integrated our corporate security system into the key corporate governance processes of our company. At the same time, it motivates us to be even more responsive or proactive in managing security risks in the new security environment for the smooth operation of our key business processes,” said Nada Drobne Popović, President of the Management Board of Petrol, upon receiving the award.

Petrol participated in a roundtable with corporate security managers

The conference also hosted a roundtable discussion with corporate security managers, with the participation of Franc Pavlin, Director of Corporate Security and Business Control at Petrol. Together with the other participants, they discussed the key security challenges of the future that will have a significant impact on the continued operation of organisations and critical infrastructure. Held in hybrid form this year, the International Conference “Days of Corporate Security” is the central scientific and professional event in the region in the field of corporate security. The aim of the conference is to present the latest insights and research findings, examples of good practice and examples of the successful transfer of knowledge into practice, to enable direct contact between theorists and practitioners, and to accelerate the identification and solving of current problems in corporate security. The two-day event was organised by the Institute for Corporate Security Studies, the Slovenian Corporate Security Association and the SE Europe Corporate Security Association (SEECSA).
