Aleksander Salkič is the recipient of the prestigious PRO PR Globe Award

The International Commission of the PRO PR Globe Awards announced that this year, two distinguished Slovenian communication experts, one of them being Aleksander Salkič, Head of Corporate Communications at Petrol, will receive recognition for their contribution to the development of public relations. Aleksander Salkič received the award because his ethical work and knowledge contribute to a better perception and positioning of the field of public relations at local, national, and global levels through various projects.

"For more than a decade and a half, Petrol has been working with the Corporate Communications team to build the company's reputation and organisational culture through the pillars of media coverage, building Petrol stories, internal communication and sponsorships, donations and events. I am proud to say that with the excellent work we do at Petrol, we are also co-creating good practices in public relations. Being recognised for excellence in this field is a pleasant honour granted to me by the organisers of the Pro.Pr conference, which brings together experts from the region the Petrol Group operates in," said Aleksander Salkič when hearing the news of the award.  

About PRO PR Globe Awards

The PRO PR Globe Awards is a programme for rewarding individuals who, through their ethical work and knowledge, contribute to a better perception and positioning of the field of public relations at local, national, and global levels through various projects. This award programme was instituted in 2012 to mark the tenth anniversary of the international PRO PR conference. The PRO PR Globe Awards are aimed at individuals, not projects, and no financial fees are paid for it. Nominees for the award are also nominated by representatives of four world associations: International Public Relations Association (IPRA), Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO), Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). In the PRO PR Globe Awards category, 21 recipients have been awarded this year. The awards will be presented at the PRO.PR conference between 1 and 4 June 2022 in Podčetrtek.
