International MBA students learn about Petrol's sustainability goals

On Tuesday, 2 November 2021, Petrol hosted students of the Global MBA study programme at the French EDHEC Business School, which is currently hosting a study exchange at the IEDC Business School in Bled. The students were introduced to Petrol's sustainability activities, from the challenges posed by the European Green Deal, where to invest accordingly, and what their sustainability goals are. The task of the students was to prepare a proposal on how to calculate and manage their carbon footprint, with an emphasis on awareness.

Knowledge was handed down to the students by Tanja Rajkovič, Andrej Bergant, and Marta Svoljšak Jerman. In the introduction, Tanja Rajkovič, in charge of the system integration of the energy and environmental footprint methodology in Sustainable Development, Quality and Safety, presented the framework of the European Green Deal and the associated challenges for Petrol. Andrej Bergant, Executive Director of Energy and Solutions, presented the investments of Petrol's energy transition – e-mobility, wind farms, public lighting management ... Marta Svoljšak Jerman, Sustainable Development, Quality and Safety Director, presented Petrol's sustainable goals and the steps of their strategy. Finally, there was a discussion dedicated, among others, to the task that students will complete for Petrol on the topic of how Petrol employees should calculate and manage their carbon footprint, with an emphasis on awareness.
